Although mainly known for her role in Star Wars, she also stared in many other critically acclaimed movies:

Fisher was an advocate for mental health awareness and spoke in front of the California Senate about the importance of treatment.  
 
She was diagnosed at 24 with bipolar disorder and said that she did not accept the diagnoses until she overdosed at 28.
 
 
Carrie was open with her addictions, her mental health issues and always wanted to make people laugh.  Her brother thought her fight for awareness for these issues and her comedic nature would be how she wanted to be remembered.

Carrie Fisher's ashes were placed in a porcelain antique Prozac pill urn.  It is from the '50s and was one of her prized possessions.

Her brother knows that this is how she would have wanted to be remembered.  She suffered from mental issues and spoke out on awareness for it.  She wanted people to know that help was out there and that it ok to seek it.
