Cedar Cone Star Cremation Urn

inspired by the illustrations by Nicoletta Ceccoli in the book The Girl In The Castle Inside The Museum, this turn is turned by hand from cedar in such a way that it has a "rough sawn" texture.  The bottom lid is turned from maple.  White and red milk paint with a protective shellac coating were used throughout - leaving a non-toxic finish.  The star is hand carved from maple and "silver" leafed then distressed.
